Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: May 5, 2025
Last Updated: August 14th, 2025, 08:34 AM EDT
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Together mobile application and services ("Service") operated by Together App LLC ("Together," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We will notify you of significant updates via email or in-app notification at least 7 days in advance, where feasible.
1. Overview
Together is a hyper-local digital marketplace designed to connect people seeking help with everyday tasks ("Task Posters") with individuals offering services ("Task Doers") within their community. Together does not provide services directly but facilitates communication, booking, and payment between users. All use is at your own risk, and Together does not guarantee the availability, quality, or completion of tasks.
Non-Circumvention
Important: You agree not to circumvent or attempt to circumvent the Together App platform in any way. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Engaging or attempting to engage in direct communication, task arrangements, or payments with another user (Task Poster or Task Doer) outside the Together platform after initial contact was made through the app
- Sharing or requesting personal contact information (e.g., phone number, email, social media handles) for the purpose of avoiding Together's service fees or conducting tasks off-platform
Violation of this clause is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, as well as legal action. Together reserves the right to recover any lost fees, and you may be liable for damages, including reasonable legal costs.
Service Fees
At Together, we are committed to fostering a vibrant community by connecting workers with task opportunities. To sustain and enhance our platform, we apply a flat service fee of 8% on each transaction, shared equally between workers and task posters (4% deducted from the worker's payout and 4% added to the poster's payment). This fee supports operational costs, including secure payment processing through our partner Stripe (which charges a 3% transaction fee), app maintenance, and ongoing improvements to benefit our users.
Examples:
- For a $50 job, the total fee is $4 (worker pays $2, poster pays $2).
- For a $500 job, the total fee is $40 (worker pays $20, poster pays $20).
We believe this straightforward fee model ensures fairness and simplicity for all users. Fees are transparently displayed during job acceptance and payment, with detailed receipts provided after each transaction. We may adjust this fee with prior notice to reflect changes in our costs or to better serve our community, and such updates will be communicated via the app or email.
By using Together, you agree to these fees as part of our commitment to delivering a reliable and growing platform. If you have questions, please contact us at aaron@mytogetherapp.com.
